What is Cottage?

Welcome to all our returning and new families to the 2009-2010 school year.

This year, as the Board of Directors and I convened to discuss our goals and plans for the year, we decided to look back to our history and created a litmus test, if you will, and asked the question, What is Cottage? What does it mean to be a Cottage member? We decided that to know what Cottage is, we need to ask all our partners what Cottage means to them.

Our partners are you, the families, the parents that make every day an opportunity for us to work together and learn about each other, the children with whom you entrust us, the teachers, who take so much time to get to know your families and children and plan curriculum accordingly. So, we ask you to consider this “litmus test” and answer for yourself what Cottage means to you. What it means to one person may be different than what it means to another person. Nevertheless, all our impressions and experiences at Cottage make us richer and bring us together in a community of people who want the same thing for their children.

If you would like to offer your narrative and help form the "litmus test", go to our What is Cottage? page and shared your perspective.
