CCPPNS - 62nd Annual Convention

The convention for CCPPNS is coming up at the beginning of April.  It's up in Northern California this year and next year, our council (which includes us) will be putting it on in the San Gabriel Valley.  This year, the workshops are children-inclusive and are supposed to be a great experience for the family.  Could this info be sent to our families so they'd be informed about it?

This year's Convention theme is Children-Nature-Play, and the attractions include a host of parent workshops, children’s nature programs, and a “Co-op Hop” tour of preschools. The Friday Keynote speaker is Joseph Cornell (author of Sharing Nature with Children and founder of the Sharing Nature Foundation) and the Saturday Keynote is Michele Borba, Ed.D (author of The Big Book of Parenting Solutions: 101 Answers to Your Everyday Challenges and Wildest Worries). There will also be a Friday night screening of the new film August to June, which highlights the benefits of parent participation in the classroom setting.
 
The Convention will be held Friday April 1-Saturday April 2 at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael (Marin County). The registration fee can be purchased as an all-inclusive amount or on an a la carte basis for workshops and events.
