LIMIT SETTING WITH EMPATHY
Megan Oesterreich, LCSW
- It is inevitable that you’ll need to set limits as a parent.
- Children need limits and boundaries to feel safe and secure. We are sometimes stuck in the rut of power struggles and figuring out how to get your child to do what you want.
- We are going to shift the lens and change the way we view limits and discipline.
- This engaging workshop will help parents to better understand why kids do what they do, set age appropriate expectations, decide why and when to set a limit, how to provide empathy while holding those limits, and tips on how to emotionally regulate in the process
